Am I a Computer Addict?

Just recently in a public social setting I heard some one telling a joke. I then realized that I did not remember any jokes to tell myself. Over the years with email, all we seem to do is forward email jokes around to our friends.

Then I realized that I also lacked the art form of actually telling a joke. I started to try to tell jokes again and they where not funny or I would mess them up. I use to be a very entertaining person and could tell jokes. I think it might be time for me in general to socially communicate again verbally. I have realized just how many social skills that I do not use anymore because of my use of email and the internet.

I spend a great deal of time on the internet, as it is a great learning, research, product, communication, and information gathering application. But, I think I have been locked up in my computer room for too long and have lost some of the best parts of living. I have heard of computer addicts, chat rooms too, although I am not a chatter myself.

AM I addicted to my computer?

It just seems I keep getting into more and more because there is so much available on the internet. That the time just fly’s away and then I am to busy for other things. It just seems we just keep getting into more and more because there is so much available on the internet that we might loose some enjoyable things of life.

I knew some people in my past that were very entertaining people because of the personality they had and the way they told jokes. I miss hearing jokes being told by actual people. I also realized that I do not have the humansocial network I had several years ago. I guess it is time to get off the computer more often and look more into a social existence.

I guess this observation on Joke Telling has opened my eyes a little bit, mainly I would like to hear some more people telling great jokes. Just thought I would pass this along.
